Bushmills released the new Bushmills Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey just days before the Netflix premiere of the highly-anticipated sixth and final Peaky Blinders series on June 10th.

This limited-release whiskey is a collaboration between Bushmills, Endemol Shine North America, and Caryn Mandabach Productions, owner and producer of Peaky Blinders.

Peaky Blinders fans have calculated the number of times Tommy Shelby has enjoyed and put back a glass of whiskey on the show: 213 times. That’s 36 hours of television time and more or less six glasses per episode.

Bottled at 46% ABV, this signature Irish Whiskey transports you to the early 1900s, right into the show’s setting. The Prohibition Blend Irish Whiskey [1] is said to deliver a Shelby-style punch with intense, complex, and bold flavors – a real taste of Prohibition. It’s made with no chill filtration and aged in bourbon barrels.

Bushmills’ master distiller Colum Egan used the same distilling methods during the Prohibition Era to create powerful flavors of cinnamon, rye bread, orange marmalade, and almonds. The appearance is golden yellow with aromas of barley, dried fruits, fresh oats, spices, and honeycomb.

“As the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery and one of only a handful of distilleries to survive the 13 long years that preceded repeal day, this whiskey represents uncompromised quality and perseverance in the face of adversity – a story that is shared by both Bushmills and the Peaky Blinders.”

“With this new release, we celebrate Bushmills’ long history and the continued aging of whiskey during Prohibition,” said Egan.

The whiskey bottle features design elements that match the prop seen on the show, including a visible cork lid and vintage aesthetic blue-tinted glass – very 1920s. The label showcases the Bushmills logo and the Shelby family emblem positioned above a sketch of the family matriarch.

Grab yourself a bottle and sip like a Shelby for roughly $43.
