Before Liquor Lab officially opens its doors, be one of the exclusive few to experience New York’s most innovative cocktail-making classes. The city’s best new spot for drinks with friends, dates, and parties of all sizes is offering preview-opening reservations. These secured spots guarantee a seat at the bar, ahem, behind the bar, for one of the special preview openings. Should your tickets go unused for these events (work conflicts, last minute plans – we get it, it happens), the tickets can be fully credited toward any event following the grand opening. As an added bonus, all preview-opening guests will receive a Liquor Lab cocktail tool kit for shaking and stirring at their next home gathering.
Class notes: What makes a great cocktail? Mainly spirits, water, sugar and bitters – but that comes with a lot of history. What makes a great New York cocktail? That’s an entirely different story. Journey with us as we recreate some of the most iconic cocktails – that have been inspired by Manhattan and that have had Manhattan define them. From creations by Rainbow Room’s Dale Degroff to Pouring Ribbon’s Joaquin Simó – there are plenty of rounds to go around. (Shhh don’t tell…Some of the cocktail creators themselves will be guest bartending at these events.)
We’ll discuss cocktail pioneers like Jerry, “Professor” Thomas and Frederic “Ice King” Tudor and major events such as prohibition, and revolutionary influencers who continue to shape the industry, as we know it today.
Staying focused in class pays off. Pop quiz prizes such as memberships to NYC’s newest and exclusive cocktail club, Wine&Whiskey, will be awarded to A+ attendees. Additionally, mingle with friends and make new ones, in between drink instruction.

Food Menu: Charcuterie and cheese pairings, a bread and cracker board, and assorted veggies and olives, will be served.
