This initial sweetness is intertwined with a woody character thanks to the aging in new charred American white oak barrels.

Taste 

The first sip delivers on the caramel and vanilla promise from the nose, offering a smooth and approachable sweetness. But Boone’s Bourbon isn’t all candy. The rye grain in the mash bill shines through with a subtle peppery spice that adds complexity and keeps the sweetness in check. Hints of buttered toast and maybe even a touch of apple emerge as the flavor develops.

Finish 

The finish is medium-length, leaving a lingering warmth on the tongue. The sweetness fades slightly, allowing the oak and rye spice to come forward. A touch of cinnamon and a hint of “rancio” (a nutty, slightly savory characteristic) may appear, adding further complexity.
