This second period of maturation and marrying of flavor adds further layers of fresh fragrant smoky oak to the original medicinal peaty aromas and a touch of sweetness and heightened vanilla overtones on the palate.
Originally aged in refill and first-fill American Oak Hogsheads, the individual Malts that make up this whisky were then blended before a final finish in smaller 200 litre fresh Bourbon Barrels.
