Courage & Conviction™ PX Sherry Single Cask

Description

Courage & Conviction PX Sherry Single Cask is a unique expression of Virginia Distillery Co.’s whiskey making.  The whiskey starts with a base of 100% malted barley that is aged for at least four years.  The whiskey is then finished in specially selected PX sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.  PX sherry is known for its sweetness and richness, and these qualities are imparted to the whiskey during the finishing process.

On the nose, the whiskey offers aromas of golden raisins, fig, butterscotch, and shortbread.  The palate is full-bodied and complex, with flavors of honeyed baklava, leather, cinnamon, and milk chocolate.  The finish is long and lingering, with notes of walnut brittle and honeycomb.

Since this is a single cask bottling, the exact flavor profile will vary from cask to cask.  However, you can expect a whiskey that is rich, complex, and bursting with flavor.
