Description
Nose
Opens with a blast of the sea air – think ocean spray, sea salt, and even hints of wet sand and seashells. Beneath this maritime influence lies a layer of sweetness with notes of peach, cranberry, and citrus fruits. A subtle whisper of peat smoke lingers in the background, hinting at the island’s character.
Palate
The initial sip is surprisingly light and refreshing for an Islay whisky. Honey and vanilla sweetness lead the charge, balanced by hints of melon and citrus zest. Don’t be fooled though, the signature Islay peat smoke emerges, adding a layer of intriguing smokiness that complements the other flavors.
Finish
Clean and crisp with lingering sweetness and a touch of the peat smoke from the nose.
