Updated March 2026.
Wheated bourbon is still bourbon. Wheat replaces rye as the flavoring grain. The class does not change: mash at least 51% corn, new charred oak, bottled at ≥80 proof. “Wheated” is recipe language, not a TTB type. Maker’s Mark flagship prints 90 proof (45% ABV) on makersmark.com. Weller Special Reserve is 90 and wheated — allocated, so we will not invent a street price. Mash-bill percentages are usually unpublished.
