What’s Casa Del Sol Tequila?

Casa Del Sol Tequilas on desk

Casa del Sol tequila is a luxury-sipping tequila inspired by the legend of the Aztec Goddess of agave, Mayahuel, and the magic of the golden hour.

Eva Longoria is one of the brand’s co-founders, and she is in partnership with two tequileras who have deep roots in the tequila industry. The tequilas are made from 100% blue agave and come in three variants: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.

Ownership & Distillery

Casa del Sol is co-owned by Eva Longoria and two tequileras, Mariana Padilla and Alejandra Pelayo.

Mariana Padilla is a Mexican-based artisan with deep roots in the tequila industry and who grew up surrounded by Maestros Tequileros. Alejandra Pelayo oversees the production process of Casa del Sol, and she is the goddaughter of the creator of Patrón.

Casa del Sol is in partnership with a Mexican-owned distillery, Compañia Tequilera de Arandas, S.A. de C.V.

How It’s Made

Blue Weber Agave

Casa del Sol tequila is inspired by the Aztec Goddess of Agave, Mayahuel, wherein agave was created to defend herself and her lover, God of Wind, from her grandmother.

The tequila [1] is made from 100% blue weber agave, cooked for 8-10 hours in an autoclave, and crushed to extract the juices. The tequila undergoes stainless steel and then copper stills distillation before aging.

Aging Process & Age Statement

Casa del Sol differs from other tequilas because the brand partnered with Laurent Martell in France to source Cognac barrels made from French Limousin oak.

The aging process of Casa del Sol results in an aromatic profile, and distinct flavor wherein Old World French craftsmanship meets the New World Mexican artistry. All of the expressions do not bear an age statement.
