Production & Filtration Process
Jack Daniel’s Bonded is a Tennessee whiskey that follows the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. It means that it should be distilled by a lone distiller during a single season and matured in a government-bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years.
The mash bill of Jack Daniel’s Bonded is fermented for seven days before it undergoes distillation in copper column stills.
After the distillation, it will undergo filtration in 10-foot-long columns of charcoal made from sugar maple wood for a unique mellow process (Lincoln County Process) [2].

The Jack Daniel’s Bonded is made from a mash bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley. As you can see, it uses the same mash bill with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey.
