Belvedere Vodka: Proof, Rye, and Buying Guide

Updated July 2026.

Belvedere — the Polish rye vodka — is 40% ABV / 80 proof on the current brand nutrition block. A 1.5-ounce pour is one NIAAA standard drink. It is distilled from rye at Polmos Żyrardów and owned by LVMH (Moët Hennessy). Current brand pages call the flagship organic Polish rye. That is still vodka under TTB, not whiskey.

Single-estate and Unfiltered SKUs are other bottles — read those necks. Flavored / macerated lines are a different class. We will not reprint a 2021 price list. Vs grape vodka: Cîroc. Vs wheat: Grey Goose, Ketel One.

Flagship vs the rest

Single estate / Unfiltered Usually 40% — read the neck 1.00 if 40% Same class if unflavored

A 750 mL flagship is about 17 standard drinks. Four pours are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Rye grain in the mash does not make it rye whiskey. Gluten: distillation + TTB 2020-2 — see the bourbon gluten page for the same ruling. Pour math: vodka drinks.
