GlenDronach Distillery Releases Batch 10 of Limited Edition Cask Strength Scotch

The GlenDronach Distillery [1] recently launched the tenth release of its popular Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Bottled at the whisky’s natural cask strength, as was the custom before we transitioned to the 20th century, the GlenDronach whisky boasts a deeper connection to the distillery’s signature character.

Master Blender Rachel Barrie individually selected the casks and expertly crafted this expression from a blend of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. It is natural in color and non-chill filtered.

“The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 10 is incredibly rich and full-bodied with the full depth of sherry cask maturation at its heart. Presented at natural cask strength, it offers a cornucopia of flavor, from richly spiced fruitcake to dark cherry and ginger jam,” Barrie said.

This Scotch whisky is bottled at 58.6% ABV and has a deep chestnut bronze color that develops naturally from the Spanish oak in which it is rested.

On the palate, you’ll appreciate its richly spiced fruitcake flavor with hints of dark cherry and honeyed sultana raisins. On the nose, you’ll find aromas of toasted oak, mocha, apricot, and baked orange chocolate cake with walnut, roasted almond, and raisin. It has a long-lasting finish with lingering ripe apricot layered with ginger jam and caramelized date.

The limited release displays the historic commitment of the distillery to crafting the most remarkable and richly sherried Single Malts, which represents The GlenDronach’s outstanding dedication to its craft.

It is available across the United States at a suggested retail price of $99.99 for its 750 ml bottle.
