These are two 40% whiskeys from different countries and different legal classes. Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 is Tennessee whiskey at 40% (80 proof) on Brown-Forman’s US product-info sheet. Johnnie Walker Black Label’s US page prints 40% ABV and a 12-year age line for that blend. A 1.5-ounce pour of either is one NIAAA drink. This is not a 2022 winner.
