Jack Daniel’s Distillery

The official website of Brown Forman Corporation openly discloses that Jack Daniel’s is still made in Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Lynchburg, marketed to be a town with only one traffic light, is located in Moore – known to be a dry county in Tennessee. Tennessee went through a Prohibition law in 1909, where the production and selling of distilled spirits were banned.

Although the Prohibition law ended in 1933, Moore has not passed a countywide local option referendum to allow the sale of alcohol.

However, the changes in Tennessee liquor laws in 2018 finally allowed the sale of wine, beer, and liquor in liquor and grocery stores in some counties, including some wet areas in Moore.
