Pecan Whiskey: Proof, Types, and Drink Math

Updated April 2026.

There is no official best pecan whiskey. Pecan is a flavoring, not a TTB class. Standard Proof Texas Pecan Rye prints 40% / 80 on the brand page — a flavored rye, not bourbon. Other pecan SKUs unread. A 1.5-ounce pour at 40% is one NIAAA drink.

Related: flavored bourbon, rye whiskey, vanilla whiskey.
