There is no official “best bourbon for the money,” and we will not invent a top 20. Bourbon still has to meet and the 80-proof floor. The only price that matters is the sticker that day. Suggested retail on allocated bottles (Buffalo Trace, Weller, Blanton’s) is not the street tag. A 1.5-ounce 40% pour is one NIAAA drink; at 45% it is 1.13. This is not a 2022 ranking.

A 1.75 L 40% handle is about 39.5 drinks — often the real “money” bottle. Four 90-proof pours are about 4.5 drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Pour math: whiskey drinks.
